Christmas Advent Magic - Day 13

I couldn't go through an advent without having some wildlife in it somewhere and of course the Robin is synonymous of the Christmas period here in the UK. Besides, as you probably know by now, I love these little birds. I haven't been doing very much photography in December, the light has not been very good. But, it does give me time to play! You will recall the little friend who used to eat from my hand if you have been reading a while. I took an image of him from back then and played on photoshop. The background was created by a clever Flickr member, Lenabem-Anna, and I have been playing with layers and overlays.

I have been lucky enough in my life to experience two wild Robins who would happily eat from my hand. They were a number of years apart but the magic stays with me. I only have to see one of these little characters in my garden to make me smile.

Fabulous Robin photo Chrissy and the simple background is perfect.

Our garden robins aren't tame enough to eat from our hands, but they are inquisitive and always close by when we're in the garden. Very territorial though, they each have their own 'patch'

Really really beautiful. A great use of photoshop, and of course, your photography, time & patience.

Great shot of that sweet little bird--beautiful background. What a treat to have them eat from your hand--that required much patience on your part I am sure. Mickie :)
