Red Deer Oil Painting

This is my current work in progress using water soluble oil paint. I am really liking them, it is great to have a splodge in oils again, it seems like it has been ages.

I do seem to have a distinct lack of brushes but I don't want to buy any just yet because the NEC is coming up in November and I prefer to make a list. So for now I will just have to make do with what I have. As I keep building with oils, this one will keep me occupied for a little while yet...you will probably get to see the finished thing sometime in October!!

I think it looks quite lovely as it is. I am looking forward to the finished result :-)

Great start, it'll be interesting to watch the progressing, and I'd love see how those watersoluble oils go. I've never tried oils (regular kind) because I didn't want to deal with stinky solvents. Times are changing...

As it happens I don't like dealing with stinky solvents!..... this painting is five feet from me as I type and I can't smell it at all?... I guess that's cool then?....:)

Looks real good from here too!...:)

This used to be the computer room, never was the art studio?......?

Reckon I could charge rent?.....?

very nice :) haven't heard of water soluble oil paint before, sounds so much better using that then getting ill from solvent fumes :)
