whichever one is most applicable...
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I had been making some Spring Cards and also that I planned on making some Artist Trading Cards. As part of my therapy, I tried to make at least one or another every day.
There were some obstacles with this, making cards is easy enough standing at my desk. But if I start bending and stretching, reaching for things it can all get very counter productive so I only allowed myself to use materials that were within easy reach!
It was not too difficult as long as I didn't forget! I also had to be a little more inventive, my main paper stash is all in the lower storage areas so I had to improvise a lttle!
A little easier were the ATC's. I need to spend a lot of time with my leg elevated so these have been quite good at keeping me occupied for short spans of time. Some of them are practice pieces out of one or another of my books or others are just based on some of my own photo's.
I enjoyed them and the marbles one has started me off on another mission. I loved marbles as a child and had a huge collection won fairly and squarely from many an unsuspecting boy! You will notice that both with my cards and with my art, my subjects are all flowers, butterflies and happy subjects.
I feel the need to be surrounded by such things right now and I confess to also filling the house with flowers!
As I wrote in the post below, inspired by Kastlekaos, I put all the ATC's into a small book with some quotes and poems that seemed relevant at the minute, which I will include a copy for those of you that wanted an ATC as chatted about in the Happy Award post.
So, thats what I have been up to. I hope you all have lovely holidays, whatever you do :D
Footnote: From Wikpedia - Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards, or 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches (6cm X 9cm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets (just in case anyone is wondering what the heck I am on about)
