Well as often happens all of a sudden everything resolved itself and we are moving - tomorrow! I have never experienced a move like this one, we haven't even had time to redirect the post now........mad!
Anyway I thought I would leave you with a card I created for a friend...It is a Penny Black image but not one that is seen quite so often....

And as I won't be around for a little while till we get the internet sorted, take care everyone and see you soon X

Tilda Challenge - Mothers day

I have to say Andys photograph is much better than mine so here it is....

Flowers & Challenges

Well .....I am a bit late with my challenges this week, got lots of stuff happening as ya do....was still just an ickle bit down today, the house move thing rolls on and on, but hey at least we aren't on deck chairs any more LOL AND as I was shopping tonite Sainsburys had the most beautiful flowers half price, so I treated myself...anyway I thought I would share, I hope they make YOU feel happy too :-)
OK and next, need to upload my Penny Black "F" challenge, I feel really bad I have had no time to go and leave comments on the other girls on Docrafts this week but I will try and make up for it.....the cards are just such a great standard now, really WOW. Anyway for me "F" is for frog, funky flowers AND funky brads, I think I did quite well on funky paper too...
And the next one will be my submission for the Tilda challenge, which this week is Mother's Day and recycled (you have to use a recycled element on ya card). actually my cardstock is all recycled, does that count? LOL

Well I have used some recycled buttons, I think I could have done more BUT I really want to use this one for my Mum & she is a traditionalist. She is also a perfectionist and I don't dare use anything recycled that she might think that I have (if you know what I mean - I am so laughing, but I can picture - CHRISTINE, exactly what is this, hehehehe). She really thinks my love for antique type stuff is QUITE, quite mad! Like its "old stuff".
Anyways, hope ur all doing great :-)
P.S While we speak my man is playing with a very gucci camara, I do think he may come up with some better pics than me and if he does I'll post them :-D

A blue & green phase....

Well it has been a lovely day today and although the trees still look a bit bare, it was lovely to see lots of sunshine....
So with Spring in the air, it had to be inspiration for this evenings cards....
My new Tildas have arrived and I also have been adding to my stock of basic grey paper...well LOL I have now been using some of it up again but I don't want to become a paper hoarder now do I?

I used the sketch from the previous thread for both cards today......but as you can see the are both quite different. The stamp is "Tilda in an Apron"....
Happy weekend allbodies (that used to be my sons word for everyone) :-)

Another challenge

Well I had a go at this one on this blog........http://ismaki.wordpress.com/

I am not going to upload it or really join it cos I don't think the card is good enough but I did have fun doing it. Cutting Tildas clothes is a great idea methinks and I am sure will make for some great future designs but sadly despite this all being decoupage so raised and 3d, there is still not enough definition. I am pleased with my new maple leaf punch, thats gonna be real good for some of the things I do.....anyway this is it............

...

and perhaps I will join in next week....hope everyone is ok :-)

Tagged again...;-)

Hi,
Well I have been tagged again by Rachel at Gillyflowers Expression, so this time I will use my first name. I am not going to tag anyone else as I have already tagged several people just a few days ago, however if you want to join in and haven't been tagged yet, just leave a comment and use the instructions about three posts below.....
As I used my middle name last time, I will use my first name for this one:
C is for Callan, my only son who is 21 and who's name came from a TV series.
H is for Happy, I reckon that I am a happy soul most of the time.
R is for Reading, I like to read to relax, in particular childrens books or crime fiction, although I don't get much time to do it.
I is for Interested in people - I am always interested in people, life, love and what makes them tick. I would love to take a psychology course but don't fancy going back to college!
S is for Smoking - I packed up just over a year ago :-)
S is for Skiing and Swimming, my fave sports, am bad as skiing, better at swimming but have fun doing both. However, I only like swimming in the sea not the pool...
Y is for Yellow - My favourite colour.

A quick one....

Just gonna add a card quickly. This is another from the Hathormoon fairies that I bought unmounted. I used a bit of Sara's challenge in this one.
The card is an aperture one but I used a sponge to rub in the colours....and then stamped butterflies offset... The actual card used in this cardstock is superb and it is like proper watercolour paper. There must be similar quality cards available elsewhere for normal type cards but thats gonna be a bit of research.................I can't send it to anyone, if you look you will see its the wrong way round ROFL( for my friends that are not internet savvy and I know I have some reading "ROFL" = roll on floor laughing....)

I iz having a really busy week this week..........but hey it will keep me out of mischief. I have just bin real naughty tho' and ordered some more Tilda stamps, but I like them ...rite?

Tilda Challenge - Romantic

Actually I had already had a bit of a go with my Magnolia stamps again. I really wanted to have a go at ripping paper, something I have never been brave enough to do.....so with a ready supply of basic grey which seemed a bit of sacriledge but it had to be nice card to get the edge....at least you don't use too much of it Latisha eh ;-) I had a go....First effort:...

Then, I decided to check out the Tilda challenge as I was painting the next two...and the challenge for next week is "Romantic". So the same sort of idea,BG papers and I decoupaged some of it too....so Edwin is my submission and its the first time I have ever had a go at this challenge. :-)

Finally someone had done Tilda in lovely yellow on Docrafts so it inspired me to have a go at this one. The daisy paper is K&Co, Tim Coffey, a papermania silk flower, Wilkinsons organza ribbon, Stampendous love peeoloffs again, its a little bit orange because of the light but you get the idea....

I hope you all have a great week.... ChrissyX

Pastel Fairy

Hello :-)
Well a very cold Sunday it is out there so just having a chillout day today. We both felt real tired and were a bit busy yesterday. I had a committee meeting at the local flying field....mind I resigned cos I got really peeved with the Treasurer and the Secretary throwing their weight around....and combined - its a fair bit of weight!
However, as I had been trying to make one of them see reason ALL week, I am glad I resigned today. Life is too short to beat your head on a brick wall, however well intentioned...... just a bit sad that the two others who also resigned are two really nice blokes who have the best interests of the club in their heart, whereas those that are left have debateable interests....but hey ho it won't change the price of fish...
So, as you can imagine, it was great to have a lovely evening with my man and I also did a bit of cardmaking which really helped me relax. So much so that I slept for 11 and a 1/2 hours, so feel a bit guilty today AND we are going out for lunch...my diet is going very well - NOT ;-)
Anyway I am rambling on, I have been trying to work out which paper stack I used for this card but cannot remember. I think its Papermania....
The fairy is one of my own drawings again but this time I painted her in pale watercolours but added some glitter glue to her wings.....I have a new large oval Woodvale punch, so I used that and cut the oval in half and added a peeloff for the sentiment.Oh and I put some silver dots in the scallops by using a sakura pen....
My next project that I have to upload is another go with Tilda and I really enjoyed the project.......hopefully later X

Penny Black Challenge - E

Hello, hope ur all having a great weekend....I couldn't think of much for the "E" challenge. I thought of Eyelet but I don't know how to do them! E for embellishment but everyone is going to use that one or of course E is for Easter but again, I think a few might use that......so I had some QVC fabric stickers and a new Penny black stamp, Cat on the Moon. So I went for "Enjoy" your special day :-)
I am not sure where I got this paper from, every so often I go down to my local store and just choose pieces of paper at random, a bit like a magpie with sparkly bits....

Anyway my other half just walked in and said "Very cute card, did you just make that? Whats with that bit down the side, do you have to water it? ROFL...........:-)
I have a few more to show you but its Saturday, gonna go out and have a nice meal......happy Saturday!
