I took a rather nice photograph of him earlier this year so decided to sit and get my prismas out today. I have a cold so it was a nice easy restful task. I am not sure if I will add to him further. As usual, I shall now just look at it for a couple of days and then make further amendments accordingly. I always find I need a bit of space from it to really decide and I need to look at it in proper light. Have a good Sunday all.

I think we live some kind of parallel lives. Eric's desparate for a dog, and I'm sort of half relenting and went searching the web this afternoon for Cocker Spaniel puppies. Persuaded myself that the time wasn't right though.
Max is indeed beautiful, as is your art work.
Hallo Chrissie, this is a very beautiful picture of Max!
I looked up Shropshire in Wiki and came to a site showing most beautiful picture from this central England area! There must be breathtaking hiking trales! Romantic landscape!
And I found out that there exists a Shropshire society in Austria. Shropshire sheep are kept in biological (organic) agriculture as "living lawn mowers", especially to eat the grass in Christmas trees cultures! They do not nibble the trees! And they look so sweet :)
You certainly stayed somewhere in the Alps for skiing with your son when you were in Austria :)
this is beautiful!! what a great drawing, you have such fabulous talent....makes me want to send you a pic of my gracie..have a great sunday!!
@ Doson, he is gorgeous but very well looked after by two people that love him to bits
@Lana - Thank you :D
@Gilly - I am self taught although I did used to go to art school when I was err a lot younger, LOL
@Terrie, for us it would be unkind as we both work full time, it makes it very difficult . But a spaniel would be my 1st choice. Because, they have a lovely nature and becuase they are so silky they don't affect my allergy :D
@ Maria, you made me think so I went and had a look. I am pretty certain we stayed in Maurach by the Rohan mountain range, it was very beautiful. Shropshire is indeed very pretty and there are a great many sheep! But, I would love to visit Vienna too :D
@Chris Thanks very much
What a sweet drawing! My husband and I were looking at a show on dogs the other night and it featured cocker spaniels. Great temperament! Great dog! - Hugs! - Nards
what a fantastic picture, as usual!
you have such a talent for this!
much love teen xxx
nicely done :) Good job with the curly furred ears.
I hate American Cocker Spaniels, English ones are nice though. Way too many American Cockers in the groomers that wanted to eat me, had horrible oily fur and were just generally poorly bred. It was so nice when I had to bath an English one, such a difference in the breed.
its stunning hun, huggs jo x
award on my blog for you hun, huggs jo x
He's absolutely gorgeous! I am in awe of anyone with artistic talents: a camera is about my limit!
stunning chrissy ~you have such talent ~looks like he is about give a nice big lick on the nose!!
vanessa xx
Max is such a cutie and your artwork is amazing. I just love those eyes...the eyes of a very content and confident pup! Lucy also likes! :o)
@ Nards, Thank you and it is good to see you here :)
@Teen & Jo, many thanks to you both and thanks for the award Jo, I have a couple to post up, hopefully I will get to it this week :D
@Jen, they wanted to eat you? Max has a beautiful nature, is as soft as a brush, thanks for the feedback, I confess I have done a little more to the ears since!
@Travel over 30's, if the photographs on your blog are anything to go by, you are pretty talented yourself :)
@Nessy, thank you hun
@ Holly, he is very content, he is ruined with love but I think Lucy is rather loved too ;)
they were always trying to bite everyone :/ and not just the people that were in the building. There was one Cocker who was a great dog, his owners brushed him, took him everywhere and had spent a lot of money on him. But other than that one Cocker, they were all little devils. :/
I love all dog breeds, but you ask most groomers and they will say Cockers are a pain to bath and groom for more than one reason.
oh yeah big difference between the breed. The fur on English Cockers is so soft. I wish both had fur like that. :)
