Edward Robert Hughes - Midsummer's Eve (1908)
If You See A Fairy Ring.
If you see a fairy ring
In a field of grass,
Very lightly step around,
Tip-Toe as you pass,
Last night Fairies frolicked there
And they're sleeping somewhere near.
If you see a tiny fairy
Lying fast asleep
Shut your eyes
And run away,
Do not stay to peek!
Do not tell
Or you'll break a fairy spell

The idea is to produce whatever you like, for instance a card or an altered item or even a piece of jewellery. Use either the poem, a word from the poem, or the image itself as your inspiration, there is no need to stick to anything too rigidly, its just for fun.
This week, because I can, :) I have decided if anyone takes part, I am going to give away two lots of crafty blog candy. I have a big QVC pack that includes, papers, vellum, fibres and all kinds of little bits and pieces for someone in the UK. For those overseas I have some foam but lovely quality Angel stamps that would be great for Christmas cards. I will post some photographs up of these over the weekend.
Although I will continue with my Fridays Fable as normal next week, I will leave this one open four weeks from today (1 August) and make a draw with Andy as my name picker from a hat, so please remember to let me know if you take part!
Have a great Friday :D
QVC blog candy pack has vellum paper, some cards, a CD for ideas, a pack of all sorts of bits n pieces and I am going to put in 5 non messy pigment inks in neutral colours.
The stamp set has 13 stamps all with an angel theme.

I altered the wording a little bit to make it more understandable (I hope), make card or an altered item if you like using the poem, the picture as inspiration. Its only for fun...and you have rather a lot of tilda fairies if you get stuck ;)

Hey Chrissy,
I just dropped by and saw the photo. I was wondering where you got it. I know I have a book of faerie poems with that photo inside it, and if you have a book with that picture, could you reply and tell me? I've been looking for it for ages, and knowing the title, size or whatever would help me find it. Thanks!
xoxo, Sarah
Sorry Sarah, I haven't been on for a little while so missed your comment. Most of the arts sites do it as a print, if you google the name and the artist, you are spoilt for choice :)
